Our branding is deeply rooted in history, culture, and symbolism. One of the most significant elements of our branding is the Mourne Dew Lunula, which represents our connection to the past and our aspirations for the future.
The Mourne Dew Lunula: A Symbol of Potential
The lunula, an ancient form of Neolithic jewelry, was discovered in Ireland and other parts of Europe, with many of the pieces believed to have been made from gold sourced from the Mourne Mountains. Dating back to between 2400 and 2000 BC, more than 80 of these beautiful necklaces were found in Ireland, out of a total of 100 discovered across Europe.
The lunula was not just a decorative piece; it was seen as a symbol of fullness and the realisation of possibilities—a fitting emblem for Mourne Dew Distillery. Just as the lunula represents the fulfillment of potential, our branding embodies our commitment to achieving the highest standards in crafting the best spirits and liqueurs.

Our color, Irish blue, is drawn from the Coat of Arms of Ireland, which dates back to 1392. This deep and rich shade of blue reflects both our heritage and modernity.
